Cura Home Care Services is a non-medical home care services that is located in Stamford, CT and serves lower Fairfield County. We take care of people who can’t take care of themselves - be it the elderly, the young or individuals with disabilities or special needs. Our foundational principal is to enable you to live and thrive independently in the comfort of your own homes. We offer Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Homemaker (HMK) and Companion (Comp) services in the homes of our clients, hospitals, nursing facilities and rehabilitation sites. When you are from a hospital stay or medical facility, it’s important to choose the best possible care provider to ensure the transition home is as easy as possible. We make transitioning home seamless!
Our services include assisting with day to day tasks, such as medication reminders, bathing, making dinners, having conversations, accompany to appointments, transporting to day programs, encourage socialization, go grocery shopping, eat in restaurants, makes emergency calls or inquiries, and encourage regular exercise among other activities. We strive to make life comfortable for our clients wherever they call home.
Cura Home Care Services was founded by Shivonne Mathison, MSW in 2017 with the aim of delivering individualized care to each client. Shivonne has extensive experience working with the elderly and individuals with developmental disabilities. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Shivonne has a dialectical approach to problem solving, and working with people.
Her innate passion for helping others drives her to deliver thoughtful, honest and reliable services to the senior care industry. Through her work as a case manager with South Western Connecticut Agency on Aging (SWCAA) and growing up caring for her grandmother, Shivonne developed a deep understanding and love for the elderly and special needs community.
Shivonne believes in the importance of taking care of those who once took care of us.
