End of Life Support
Compassionate guidance for life’s final chapter
Facing the end of life is one of the most emotional and deeply personal experiences a family will ever navigate. Families often need more than physical care. They need guidance, emotional support, compassionate presence, and someone who can help them move through it with confidence and peace.

What is an End-of-Life Doula?
Support for the human experience
An End-of-Life Doula is a trained, experienced, non-medical professional who provides emotional, practical, educational and compassionate support before, during and after death.
Unlike medical providers, an End-of-Life Doula focuses on the human experience, helping individuals and families prepare, communicate, reflect and feel supported throughout the journey.
Our services may include
Practical and emotional support, step by step
Emotional support
Support for individuals and for the families who love them.
Advance care planning
Conversations and document preparation that put wishes in writing.
Legacy projects and life review
Ways to reflect on a life and share it with the people who matter.
Difficult family conversations
Guidance through the talks that are hardest to begin.
Vigil planning and support
Planning for the final days and hours, and support during them.
Comfort presence

Family education and preparation

Working alongside hospice and palliative care
Many families wonder if they need both
Often, the two work beautifully together.
Hospice and palliative care
Essential medical care, symptom and pain management, and clinical oversight. Hospice teams are generally limited in the time they can spend with an individual and family each week.
End-of-Life Doula support
Non-medical support with greater flexibility, with hours arranged around the individual’s and family’s needs. That can mean compassionate presence, practical guidance, education, preparation and experienced support.
Many families wonder if they need both

Our philosophy
Every stage of life deserves compassion
At Cura, we believe every stage of life deserves compassion, respect and thoughtful support, and the final chapter is no exception. Our role is to help individuals live fully until the very end while making sure families never feel they have to navigate this journey alone.
Every person’s story matters
Each life is unique, and so is how it deserves to be honored.
Every family’s experience matters
Families grieve, prepare and remember in their own ways.
Every goodbye deserves dignity
Compassion and presence, from the first conversation to the last.
